Blue Cochin Bantams are an Asiatic, feather-footed breed covered with an extraordinary abundance of soft, fluffy colored feathers. The Blue Cochins are light and dark shades of grayish-blue. As with all blue poultry, they do not breed true. When you breed a blue hen with a blue rooster, 50% of the chicks will be blue, 25% will be black, and the remaining 25% will be splash – a light color with splashes of blue and/or black over the body. They have a bright red, single comb, along with red wattles, earlobes, and a red patch around the eyes. Blue Cochin Bantam hens lay small, cream/brown eggs, and are good setters. Our bantams are purebred and represent the breed and variety; however, we do not guarantee or represent that they are of show quality. Check out our Standard Size of this breed. Blue Cochin.
