Description
The Bourbon Red Turkey is considered a rare, heritage turkey that naturally reproduce. They are commonly kept for meat production since they produce flavorful, high quality, lean and tender meat. Bourbon Red Turkey babies are a brownish-red with yellow on their breasts. Mature birds have a dark chestnut and mahogany colored body. The ends of their wings and tails are white. Most of the dark feathers have a narrow edging of black. The shanks and toes are a reddish-pink.
