Description
Buff Cochin chickens are a massive Asiatic breed covered with an extraordinary abundance of soft, fluffy buff colored feathers. The buff color is a rich, orangish brown color. Both males and females are buff all over. They have a bright red, single comb, along with red wattles, earlobes, and a red patch around the eyes. Cochins were introduced from China in the mid-1800s as Shanghais, and they created a sensation wherever shown. Today this breed is still a beautiful show bird and highly prized for exhibition.
