Silver Penciled Cochin Bantams are an Asiatic breed covered with an extraordinary abundance of soft, fluffy colored feathers. The Cochins were introduced from China in the mid-1800s as Shanghais, and they created a sensation wherever shown. Today this breed is still a beautiful show bird and highly prized for exhibition. They make remarkably good pets, and a pet Cochin can live between 8-10 years. These Bantam size Cochins are one of our family favorites. They are very cold hearty birds.
